COMPUT Provider Connections
A provider key lets COMPUT call an upstream service. A COMPUT client key lets your application call COMPUT. They are not interchangeable.
Hosted workspace setup
- Create a key with Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral, xAI, DeepSeek, or OpenRouter and check its plan and quotas. The provider rows link to the relevant key pages.
- Sign in at COMPUT and choose that provider in your workspace.
- Connect the provider key, then select a returned model in Playground.
- Create a COMPUT client key for your application. Use the picker model ID, for example
groq:openai/gpt-oss-20b.
A catalog entry does not guarantee account access. A real gateway request also checks your client key, workspace provider connection, and request path. The model-family directory shows additional models through OpenRouter. To use one, connect your own OpenRouter key and choose a returned model; these entries are not individual direct provider-key connections. Follow the quick start to verify both.
Free tiers and privacy
Free access is quota-limited and subject to provider policies. Check current pricing and data handling before sending sensitive prompts. Do not promise unlimited free production inference or silently fall back to paid models.
OpenCode's free tier rejected COMPUT requests because it restricts use to OpenCode. Do not use it as a COMPUT default or bypass that restriction.
Keep secrets out of prompts, chat, and source files. Rotate exposed credentials in the provider console. Local and hosted connections are separate; adding a key locally does not configure production.
